How to delete daylight saving time on the Seiko TP-5

If you need to delete or cancel the daylight saving time (DST) setting on your Seiko TP-5 time clock, follow the procedure below.


  1. If you haven't already done so, with power applied to the Seiko TP-5, unlock and remove the top cover.

  3. Press the SELECT button as required to position the "" mark above the D.S.T. START option.

    If the display shows "9999" when entering program mode, you are required to enter the four digit password to proceed.

  5. Initially, the year value will be flashing.

    Press the SET button to proceed to the month.


  6. The month value will now be flashing.  Press the CHANGE button to alter the month to read " ".

    Press the SET button to proceed to the date.


  7. The date value will now be flashing.

    Press the SET button to complete the procedure.

    Daylight saving time has now been deleted.

  8. Seiko TP-5 Time Clock (delete daylight saving - complete)

  9. If you don't need to alter any further settings, press SET one more time to ensure you have exited program mode.

  10. If you don't press the SET button to complete programming, the TP-5 will remain in program mode and will not accept time cards or documents.


  11. Replace and lock the top cover.
